It was a little nippy out, but our volunteers and supporters came out in full force, all bundled up for the day. The sun, on cue, shone down on everyone whose hearts were already warmed with love.
Our participants, volunteers, and supports were entertained by our group of street performers that included the YYC Princesses, Richard Young – Magician, Chris Visser, Balloon artist, Doug Keeling – Spiderman, Tanya Wiebe – Face Painter. After the run, they warmed their bellies with a piping hot pancake breakfast.
When all the excitement was over, we raised over $65,000.
A massive shout out to all who joined us and helped us support our warrior families with uncovered expenses, and to support the ground-breaking research done right here in Alberta.
